💨 Abstract

Almost five years after her husband's death in the Greek wildfires of 2018, the author reflects on her harrowing experiences and urges caution for travelers planning to visit fire-affected regions in Greece. She survived the tragedy that claimed her husband's life and left her with severe burns, while also coping with the sudden loss of her father. She stresses the importance of considering the risks and the personal costs of such natural disasters, even for survivors.
