In Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight, Susan Lupton, 63, set fire to Graham Lee’s Land Rover, intending to kill badgers he cared for, which she falsely believed killed a cat. Instead she $18,500 in damages. Lupton had previously harassed Lee on Facebook, referring to him as the ‘evil badger man.’ The court granted her a two-year suspended sentence, a restraining order, and a village ban.
