💨 Abstract
The Post Office Horizon scandal led to at least 13 suicides and 59 attempted suicides among those wrongly accused of theft due to faulty software. The inquiry found that around 1,000 people were wrongfully prosecuted and convicted between 1999 and 2015, while 50-60 faced prosecution without conviction. Approximately 10,000 people are eligible for compensation.
