💨 Abstract
In a UK-led space mission inspired by *The Simpsons*, astronomers plan to create artificial solar eclipses using a satellite aligned with the Moon's shadow to study the Sun's corona, which is typically obscured by the Sun's brightness. The Moon-Enabled Sun Occultation Mission (MESOM) aims to generate 80 eclipses over two years, each lasting nearly 50 minutes.
