💨 Abstract
The Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew will close its iconic 19th-century Palm House and Waterlily House for a £60 million refurbishment starting in 2027. The upgrade aims to improve energy efficiency and replace aging infrastructure, including glass panes and pipes. While the glasshouses close, visitors can still see the plants in temporary and new permanent greenhouses.
