đź’¨ Abstract
Audun Groenvold, a 49-year-old Norwegian former Olympic ski cross bronze medalist, died on Tuesday from injuries sustained after being struck by lightning while on a family holiday on July 12. Groenvold, who had retired from competition in 2010, became a coach and commentator for the Norwegian national ski cross team. He is survived by his wife and three children. Many allies expressed their sympathies and spoke of his impact on the skiing community.
