💨 Abstract
The UK is braced for thunderstorms today, with yellow weather warnings issued by the Met Office. Northern areas like Durham and Yorkshire could see up to 25mm of rain in an hour, while the south may experience torrential rain, with up to 30mm in an hour in some places. The wet conditions are expected to persist through the weekend. Despite this, temperatures are set to remain high, with some parts of England reaching 30°C.
