💨 Abstract
Newcastle played a friendly against Celtic without striker Alexander Isak, whose future is uncertain due to interest from Liverpool. Newcastle, who recently signed several players, are reluctant to sell Isak, whose contract runs until 2028. Liverpool, meanwhile, are pursuing Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike after Isak's potential departure looks uncertain. Newcastle's pre-season preparations were pared down because of Isak's absence.
