In February 2025, a police officer in Jacksonville, Florida, smashed the window of a man's car and struck him in the head twice after pulling him over for allegedly not having his headlights on during daylight. The incident was captured on video and shared on Instagram by the driver, who suffered injuries including a chipped tooth, stitches, a concussion, and memory loss. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has launched an internal investigation.
