💨 Abstract
In 56 years since Neil Armstrong's lunar landing, NASA aims to build homes on the Moon by 2040. Chinese scientists have developed a method to extract water from lunar soil, converting it and carbon dioxide exhaled by astronauts into fuel and oxygen. This could reduce the astronomical costs of transporting supplies. The process involves heating lunar soil with sunlight and using photothermal catalysis to produce water and gases.
