💨 Abstract
Granit Xhaka, a former Arsenal midfielder playing for Bayer Leverkusen, is eager to join newly-promoted Sunderland in the Premier League. Xhaka, 32, has enjoyed success with Leverkusen, including winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal. Despite other offers, he only wants to move to Sunderland, managed by Regis Le Bris. Sunderland, which has made significant signings, is reportedly close to agreeing to an £8.7m deal for Xhaka.
