💨 Abstract

Israeli passengers on a cruise ship, Crown Iris, were blocked from disembarking in Syros, Greece, by about 150 protesters. Demonstrators waving Palestinian flags and opposing the Gaza conflict halted the ship, which rerouted to Limassol, Cyprus. The Israeli crew feared potential violence, keeping passengers on board. Some passengers responded with Israeli flags and songs. Israel's foreign minister contacted Greece over the incident.
