💨 Abstract

Two major crashes on the M11 in Essex have caused significant traffic delays, with blockages in both directions between junctions J8 and J9. Southbound traffic faces a five-mile queue, and northbound traffic is experiencing seven miles of congestion. Emergency services are present at the scene. This disruption comes amidst a busy travel period, dubbed "Frantic Friday," as 2.7 million journeys are planned today, with schools finishing for the summer holidays.
