💨 Abstract
Nintendo has clarified that Mario and Princess Peach are just good friends, dispelling any romantic notions. Despite numerous kisses in past games, recent titles and the upcoming movie avoid romantic implications. The company's stance is explicit in a Nintendo Today app post. Fans have humorously reacted to the "friend-zoning" of Mario. The last on-screen kiss was in 2019's "Super Mario Maker 2."
