💨 Abstract

The 19-year-old Gaia Pope, who had been sexually assaulted at 16, struggled with PTSD and anxiety, particularly after her alleged attacker was released from prison. She vanished in 2017 and was found dead 11 days later. Despite multiple opportunities, local authorities failed to support her. Her tragic story highlights the broader issue of underfunded services and educational deficiencies, leaving numerous young abuse victims in the UK without crucial help.
