💨 Abstract
Two men, Matthew Bird and Oliver Dawes, died after their small plane performed aerobatics and crashed into a field near Thorganby, Selby, on July 28. Investigators announced that the two-seater Cessna light aircraft was performing maneuvers when it descended steeply and hit the ground. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) confirmed that the pilot and passenger were fatally injured, and an ongoing investigation will release further details in a final report.
