💨 Abstract
In 1965, the BBC commissioned "The War Game," a harrowing documentaryabout a hypothetical nuclear war between NATO and the USSR, narrated by Michael Aspel. The graphic and realistic portrayal of the aftermath led to the BBC banning it from being aired for 20 years. It was finally shown in 1985 on the 40th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.
