💨 Abstract

A gunman, Shane Tamura, killed four people, including NYPD officer Didarul Islam, inside a Manhattan corporate building housing the NFL and Blackstone headquarters. Tamura, armed with an M4 carbine, shot himself after the attack. He had a reported history of mental illness and had driven from Las Vegas. Initial investigations suggest he had a grievance with the NFL regarding CTE, a brain condition linked to head trauma.
