💨 Abstract

Millions in the U.S. face extreme heat, with temperatures hitting up to 120°F in some regions. Hospitals prepare for heat-related injuries. Preventing heatstroke involves hydration and cooling down. Vulnerable groups include infants, seniors, and those with certain medications or conditions. Unchecked, heatstroke can lead to organ failure and death. Global warming is projected to increase exposure to deadly heatwaves.
