💨 Abstract
Police discovered a body in ancient deneholes in Hangman’s Woods, Essex. These caves, used as mines in medieval times, are protected due to a resident bat colony. Detective Inspector Lydia George confirmed the recovery and is investigating the identity and cause of death while thanking local supporters. The deneholes, a Scheduled Monument and SSSI, are usually inaccessible to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
