💨 Abstract
The UK's Supreme Court ruled against motorists in a case involving hidden car finance commissions. The court sided with lenders, stating they are not liable for hidden commission payments in car finance schemes. This decision follows an earlier Court of Appeal ruling in favor of motorists who complained about unauthorized commissions. Though the ruling limits compensation for affected motorists, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is considering its own redress scheme to help motorists claim compensation.
