💨 Abstract

In Brooklyn, manholes exploded with fire, prompting evacuations and responses from Con Edison and firefighters. The incidents occurred near Central Avenue and later on Lewis Avenue, approximately two hours apart. No injuries were reported. Similar incidents have happened recently due to overheating underground cables from air conditioner use. This week, multiple manhole fires occurred in NY causing damage and new evacuations, both incidents happened after a week of another fire related incident.
