💨 Abstract

China is fighting a Chikungunya virus outbreak, reminiscent of Covid-19, with over 7,000 cases reported. The virus, spread by mosquitoes like the Aedes species, causes fever and severe joint pain. While it is not directly transmissible between humans, it can spread through blood. Symptoms usually appear within four to eight days post-infection and can last from a few days to several years.
