Lidl became the UK's cheapest supermarket in July 2025, narrowly beating Aldi by 85p on a basket of 76 grocery items, according to Which's analysis. Lidl's total was £128.40, while Aldi's was £129.25. Asda followed in third place at £139.53, cheaper than Tesco with Clubcard prices.
