💨 Abstract

The author found success in managing her children's screen time during the summer holidays by implementing four rules: spending 60 minutes outside, reading, playing for 60 minutes, and tidying up. This structure reduced boredom and increased creative, imaginative play. The family made these rules permanent, leading to improved well-being and outdoor skills, such as Ella's handstands and Leo's cricket.
