💨 Abstract

Tonight offers a prime viewing opportunity for the Perseid meteor shower. This annual event, which started on July 17 and will last until August 24, peaks tonight through dawn tomorrow with up to 150 colorful shooting stars per hour. The Perseids are remnants of Comet Swift-Tuttle, visible from Perseus constellation. For optimal viewing, find a dark spot with a clear horizon between 12 am and 5:30 am.
