A veteran air steward, Jennifer Clifford, won a discrimination case against British Airways for being dismissed due to her inability to fly after experiencing mental health issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite her nearly 40 years of service, Clifford was not given the necessary support or flexibility to transition to ground roles. A tribunal found that BA should have accommodated her phased return and considered redeployment before dismissing her, describing her condition as "just a little bit of anxiety" as inappropriate.
