David Stratton, an Australian film critic and former SBS presenter, passed away at 85. Known for his film reviews in The Weekend Australian and co-hosting "At the Movies" with Margaret Pomeranz, Stratton was hailed for his deep film knowledge and advocacy for Australian cinema. Born in England, he migrated to Australia in 1963 and eventually became the director of the Sydney Film Festival.
