💨 Abstract

The author reminisces about their love for the Algarve region in Portugal, from childhood holidays to culinary delights like Portuguese seafood. Although popular among tourists, the Algarve faces over-tourism issues similar to nearby Spain. To avoid crowds, the author suggests visiting lesser-known spots like the historic town of Silves, the spa village of Caldas de Monchique, the dramatic Cape St. Vincent, and the quaint fishing village of Ferragudo.
