💨 Abstract

Joe Caroff, the graphic designer who created the iconic 007 gun logo for the James Bond franchise, has died at 103. Caroff also designed film posters for "West Side Story" and "A Hard Day's Night." He was paid $300 for the logo, which he created spontaneously inspired by the Walther PPK gun. Despite its worldwide use, he received no royalties or credits.
