💨 Abstract

American Airlines is changing its carry-on baggage rules to expedite boarding. Starting October 6, bag sizers will be removed from gates, but passengers must ensure their carry-ons fit in overhead bins or under seats. Only one carry-on and one personal item are allowed. Oversized items will still be checked. The airline will continue monitoring luggage sizes. This update follows previous boarding process changes and new gate technology to reduce early boarding.
