💨 Abstract
Lindsay Sandiford, a 69-year-old British grandmother, is set to be released from death row in Bali after 12 years. She was sentenced to death in 2013 for drug smuggling but will now be repatriated to the UK under a humanitarian agreement due to her serious illness. Sandiford, from Cheltenham, admitted to carrying cocaine but claimed she was coerced by a drug syndicate threatening her sons.
