💨 Abstract
A 16-year-old, Taki Allen, was wrongly detained by armed police after an AI gun detection system mistakenly identified his crumpled Doritos packet as a weapon. The incident left him traumatized, fearing for his life. The AI system, developed by Omnilert, alerted authorities, who responded aggressively. While the company acknowledged the false positive, it defended the system’s rapid response.
