💨 Abstract

Deng Chol Majek, a Sudanese asylum seeker, was convicted of murder after stabbing hotel worker Rhiannon Skye Whyte over 20 times with a screwdriver. CCTV showed him following her from the hotel to the train station, where he attacked her. Despite denying the crime, jurors found him guilty after a two-week trial. Majek, who claimed the footage wasn’t of him, was seen celebrating after the attack.
