💨 Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic severely disrupted the lives of children like Cass, an 8-year-old who thrived in school but struggled with isolation, mask-wearing, and online learning. His mother, Carolyn, noticed his withdrawal and later diagnosed him with dyslexia and ADHD, which went undetected during school closures. Many children faced developmental delays, anxiety, and social struggles, with some, like Oscar, falling behind in speech.
