UK iPhone and iPad users from 2015 to 2024 may receive compensation of £27 to £75 after a court ruled Apple abused its market dominance by overcharging for app store commissions. The judgment, led by Dr. Rachael Kent, found Apple’s 30% commission was excessive, costing users £1.5 billion. Apple plans to appeal, arguing its App Store benefits developers and consumers.
