💨 Abstract
Dave Richards, 75, survived a severe crash caused by a drunk driver, suffering burns, broken ribs, and losing an eye. The NHS’s first 3D Medical Centre in Bristol provided him with a custom 3D-printed facial prosthetic, matching his features. The centre uses advanced 3D scanning and printing to aid trauma patients. Dave, initially sceptical, found the treatment improved his confidence and rehabilitation. He continues to receive support, including scar treatments.
