💨 Abstract

In *Hidden Wonders*, Sandi Toksvig and a team of archaeologists uncover the skeleton of a teenage girl buried face-down in a pit, believed to have been a violent human sacrifice by the Iron Age Celtic tribe, the Durotriges. The discovery, described as "gobsmacking," suggests ritualistic killings were common. Toksvig, moved by the find, tearfully described holding the girl’s skull.
