💨 Abstract

Microsoft Azure experienced a major outage, disrupting services like Office 365, Minecraft, Xbox Live, and Copilot for thousands of users. The issue stemmed from a DNS problem in Azure, Microsoft’s cloud computing backbone, affecting websites and apps reliant on Azure Front Door. Services like O2, Heathrow Airport, and NatWest were also impacted. Microsoft engineers are working to fix the issue, caused by a recent configuration change.
