💨 Abstract

A royal historian, Andrew Lownie, alleges that Prince Andrew, during his role as the UK's special representative for international trade, used taxpayer-funded trips to pursue personal interests, including hiring prostitutes. Lownie claims Andrew had 40 prostitutes brought to his hotel room in Thailand in 2001. The historian also suggests that Andrew's behavior brought disrepute to the royal institution and that his activities should have been scrutinized more closely.
