💨 Abstract
Mohamed Samak, a 43-year-old hockey coach, was jailed for murdering his wife, Joanne, in a brutal stabbing at their home. He attempted to cover it up as a suicide to claim her life insurance and pursue another woman. Neighbors heard screams, and Samak later called 999, claiming he found Joanne with a knife. Evidence, including blood on hidden clothing, contradicted his story.
