💨 Abstract
Britain’s high streets face further closures as retailers and banks shut stores due to declining foot traffic and online competition. WHSmith, Wilko, River Island, and banks like NatWest and Lloyds have already closed branches, with Morrisons, Poundland, Paddy Power, and Ann’s Cottage announcing more closures. Morrisons plans to shut 103 sites, while Poundland will close 30 stores by 2025.
