💨 Abstract
A corrupt British Transport Police officer, DS Derek Ridgewell, framed at least 13 people—mostly Black individuals—in the 1970s, with up to 100 more potential victims. He fabricated evidence, beat suspects, and lied in court. Despite a 1973 BBC exposé revealing his corruption, he continued framing innocent people until his 1982 jail death.
