💨 Abstract
A landlord, Galina Manders, revealed she would rather leave her home empty than rent it out again after tenants caused £60,000 in damage. The tenants, who moved in in 2022, blocked inspections, left the property in filthy condition with rat infestations, and refused to leave until bailiffs intervened in 2025. Galina had to remortgage to cover £40,000 in repairs.
