💨 Abstract
Stanwell Place, a historic manor house in Stanwell, near Heathrow, has a rich history marked by aristocratic ownership, wartime significance, and royal connections. Initially expanded by the Gibbons family in the 19th century, it became a strategic site during World War II under Sir John Gibson, who played a key role in the D-Day invasion. Later, King Faisal II of Iraq briefly owned part of the estate while studying in England.
