💨 Abstract

A paraglider pilot, Philip Eric Haegler, died after his paraglider collided with a hang glider in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The hang glider's instructor, Sergio Manoel da Silva, was indicted for culpable homicide due to alleged negligence. Da Silva claimed he was distracted and lost sight of Haegler for a few seconds, leading to the collision.
