💨 Abstract

Amazon faced a breach of Ofcom’s programming rules after a viewer's children were shown "Love & Other Drugs" instead of the rented "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." The incident occurred because the family comedy was mistakenly replaced with a film containing strong sexual content. Ofcom ruled that Amazon violated rules protecting children from inappropriate content. Amazon apologized, fixed the issue within 48 hours, and updated procedures to prevent recurrence.
