Jessie J, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, revealed she was diagnosed with early breast cancer in June. She postponed her surgery to perform at the Capital Summertime Ball, admitting it upset some people. Jessie wanted to change the narrative around cancer, refusing to hide her struggles. She underwent a mastectomy, postponed her tour, and released an album. Jessie has since resumed performing after receiving the all-clear from doctors, reflecting on how her experience changed her perspective on life.
