💨 Abstract
James Bore experienced an extensive 11-stage hiring process for a finance company, which he found wasteful and time-consuming. Despite having other job offers, he highlighted the inefficiency of such lengthy processes. Today, 85% of companies prefer skills-based hiring, leading to longer job searches. While this method satisfies 82% of employers, it also causes 64% of jobseekers to abandon applications due to delays.
