💨 Abstract

On New Year’s Eve 2026, a fire at La Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, killed 40 people and injured 116. Cyane Panine, a 24-year-old waitress, became known as 'The Girl in the Helmet' after photos of her in a helmet and mask circulated. The fire started from the bar's acoustic foam ceiling.
